Travel Team Coaches

MEREDITH ROSS U16|U19 COACH

Originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia, currently lives in downtown Chicago and works as an Auditor for Deloitte. Graduated from Michigan State University in December of 2021 with degree in accounting. 

First started playing field hockey at 5 years old. Played 5 years for MSU, including an extra year of eligibility due to covid-19. Selected for All Big-Ten Tournament Team in 2018. Earned All Big-Ten Preseason Player to Watch in 2019 and 2021 (spring covid season). Prior to MSU played 4 years of varsity hockey at Conestoga High School and club for WC Eagles. Served as team captain senior year, leading Conestoga to win the 2016 Central League Title and PIAA District I Championship, and to state semi-finals. Voted 2016 team MVP, Central League Player of the Year, and First-team All-State. Selected for USA Women’s U17 National Indoor Team in 2016. 

Previously coached at USA Futures (now known as Nexus) regional Michigan site and Regional Future’s Tournaments. Coached camps/clinics at MSU and high schools. Individually hosted youth summer field hockey camps, clinics, and private lessons due covid lock down, but after success continues to run programs when returning to Philadelphia area.

 

Christen Conley | U16 COACH

Christen Conley is a 2021 graduate of Northwestern University, where she played all 4 years as a field hockey scholarship student-athlete. As a 2021 season team captain, she led the Wildcats to an Elite 8 finish in her senior year, when she was also named to the 2020 NFHCA D1 Senior team.  As a former graduate of OPRF, Christen was a varsity field hockey captain her senior year and earned the 2016 Illinois State Player of the Year, along with First-Team all-state selection. In addition and most notable, she was selected for the U17 and U19 US Junior National Team. Christen is currently pursuing her masters in Management Studies at the Kellogg school of Management this fall. 

HANNAH SKLAR | U16 COACH

Hannah is a 2020 graduate of Kenyon College, where she was a 4-year starter and 2-time captain. As a freshman, Sklar helped lead her team to an NCAC championship and an NCAA playoff berth, where they finished in the round of 16. She was a 2-time member of the NCAC All-Conference and Great Lakes All-Region teams. She participated in the NFHCA Senior All-Star Game and was a nominee for the NCAA Women of the Year Award. 

Hannah is also a graduate of Oak Park and River Forest High School, where she earned varsity letters in field hockey and soccer with All-State honors in field hockey.
